Condition Notes:

– Condition: 8.5/10

– Fret wear: Extremely light in first position of higher strings. Not even very noticeable until very close inspection.

– Any wear of note: There’s a few extremely small, extremely light, very minor dings on the top that are only very visible in certain light. In certain spots around the neck heel and on the back, you can see some some sort of hazing that happened to the finish at some point. It’s extremely difficult to photograph. On the back specifically, it seems to be happening on the figured spots. It’s more noticeable around the neck heel. But again, on the back it’s only really visible in certain lighting and the guitar is in really amazing condition overall.

– Other notes: The guitar sounds and plays amazing. It has a lovely mellow sound that’s really well balanced tonally, due to the all solid wood construction and the 23 years it’s had to settle in and mellow out. The neck is super comfortable and easy to play, like you can expect from any Taylor. Includes original hard-shell case.

Condition Notes:

– Condition: 7/10

– Fret wear: Has some definite fret wear. They have a little life left and no buzzing currently as a result of the wear.

– Any wear of note: There’s some scratches and dents here and there. Please see pictures for most notable wear. There was a top crack that was repaired very well (down the middle right under the bridge). There’s also a very small crack on the top just at the end of the fretboard (pictured as best as possible). Our tech assured us the crack is sound and has most likely been that way for a long time and just from the block shifting over time. But again, it’s fully sound and nothing to worry about. So the guitar has some cosmetic issues and the things mentioned above, but it’s still in overall really amazing shape and is a true player, especially for being almost 50 years old! Like all Guilds, it’s really a workhorse that just sounds and plays amazing. It has a really even and woody tone to it and you can tell the wood has mellowed out in just the right ways in it’s 49 year life! Includes a padded gig bag.
